时间状语从句
在英语中用从句来表示一件事情或一个行为发生的时间, 那么这个从句就叫时间状语从句。
时间状语从句在句中相当于时间状语, 由when, before, after, as soon as, until/till 这几个词引导时, 从句用一般现在时结构表示一般将来时; while 表示动作发生的时候, 从句用进行时; since 引导的从句一般用过去时。
1.由as soon as 引导的时间状语从句
as soon as 意为“一……就……”，表示从句的动作一发生,，主句的动作马上就发生。
注意：如果主句是一般将来时，则从句通常用一般现在时。
e.g. As soon as we entered the Chinese restaurant, the waiter came to take our order.
我们一进中餐馆，服务员就来为我们点菜。
As soon as winter arrives, some birds will fly south for a warm living environment.
冬天一到，有些鸟就会飞到南方寻找温暖的生活环境。
2.由before 与after 引导的时间状语从句
before 意为“在……之前”, 表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之前。
after意为“在……之后”, 表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之后。
e.g. Our teachers tell us that we should make full preparations before we do something.
我们的老师告诉我们，在我们做某事之前，我们应该做好充分的准备。
In the second month after I joined the basketball club, I learned many new skills.
在我加入篮球俱乐部后的第二个月，我学到了很多新技能。
注意： before和after也可以用作介词
3.由when 和while 引导的时间状语从句
4.由until 或till 引导的时间状语从句
主句为肯定式
主句谓语动词必须为延续性动词。
Let’s wait until the rain stops.
咱们等雨停了吧。
主句为否定式
主句谓语动词是非延续性动词。
I won’t go until I’m good and ready.
我要完全准备就绪后才走。
5.since 引导的时间状语从句
since 表示“自从”，引导的时间状语从句常用于“主句(现在完成时， 主句是肯定句的时候，动词用延续性动词) +since+ 从句(一般过去时) ”的句式中。
拓展: 如果主句的动词不是延续性的动词而是表示目前的状态, 可用一
般现在时。
e.g. It is/has been twenty years since he left his hometown.
自从他离开家乡, 已经有二十年了。
